Capitalism the new Dogma

The philosophy behind this poem

As the positivists say "the game" is "zero sum"

Make thinking your habit you risk ending up a "bum"

Educated fool employed says, "world's always fair"

Learn to vape the deew before you early lose your hair

Capitalism the new religion, as Camus had said

They bow to the priests of finance, begging to be fed

Dead at the day of retirement, tragic misery

Krugman wins the Nobel prize yet silent on usury

hell and heaven of old is now poverty and wealth

Don't matter much if Proudhon said "property is theft"

Capitalism the new religion, as Camus had said

They bow to the priests of finance, begging to be fed

Fool after fool carves out his own grave or tomb

Whistling national anthem, dangling from the nation's womb

Young fools march through the corporate trenches

No love betweem them and the Joy Division's poor wenches

Capitalism the new religion, as Camus had said

They bow to the priests of finance, begging to be fed
